Synopsis: The teaser transitions from the black and white intro to a color view of the three characters sitting on the couch, no doubt intended as a nod to the fact that while the show was shown in black and white, the related films starring the same cast were in vibrant color. The Munsters, which followed the distinctly different lives of a pleasant monster family from Mockingbird Heights, first aired from 1964 to 1966 on CBS, during the same period when the iconic series The Addams Family was broadcast on ABC. Despite not being a huge hit, the sitcom grew popular in syndication during the following decades, and a syndicated version aired from 1988 to 1991.
